Update: Morphic Technology’s Joiin wins the Scottish EDGE Wild Card

At the Scottish EDGE awards ceremony dinner on 9 June 2022 at Royal Bank of Scotland’s Conference Centre in Edinburgh it was announced that Joiin had won a prize in the Wild Card Edge competition. 

Pitches for the Wild Card Edge Final assessment panel took place during May and Morphic Technology technology took part with an engaging presentation about Joiin.  Joiin, a new outdoor activities technology product, enables instant, seamless outdoor group sports communications.

After being selected amongst stiff competition from early stage businesses across Scotland,, the Morphic Technology team was placed in the semi final.  This month they were happily shocked to hear that they had nabbed a  prize.

“Taking part in this competition has been an amazing experience and the feedback we gained along the way has been really helpful. To have won a Wild Card prize is a real honour among the best of Scottish innovation.” 

Joiin continues to gear up to be the essential outdoor sports accessory for 2023, now buoyed by the recognition, and the £10,000 prize money which will help with a part of the costs of development and work space. At the same time pre-orders and crowdfunding will still play a vital role in Joiin’s planned January 2023 release. 

Attached to any bluetooth headset, Joiin will allow people who enjoy adventure outdoors to speak easily with other group members without reaching for their phones or needing to fiddle with their smart watch.
